Electric Daisy Carnival
The Electric Daisy Carnival is an electric dance music festival that has been held in Southern California since 1997. In 2011 it premiered in both Florida and Nevada, and in 2012 it is slated to appear in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium. Over 100 of the biggest names in the electric music genre are going to appear at the event, including the likes of DJ Tiesto, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and Calvin Harris.
DJ Tiesto is one of the most popular trance artists in the world today, who has been creating great music since 1994. Tiesto achieved worldwide fame starting in the early 2000s, when he was voted as the top DJ in the DJ Magazine Top 100 Popularity Poll from 2002-04. His second album, Just Be, was released in 2004 and peaked at number one on the Netherlands Album Chart, number two on the Belgium Album Chart, and number three on the US Billboard Top Electronic Albums list. His latest album, Kiss From The Past, was released under his alias Allure.
Armin van Buuren was voted in the top spot in DJ Magazine’s top 100 list from 2007-10 and was ranked second in 2011. What really helped to propel Armin into international spotlight was his third studio album, Imagine, which was released in 2008. It featured such tracks as “In and out of love,” and “Unforgivable,” debuting in the top five of the US Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart.

They have won the World Cup five times, in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002. Similar to the Argentina team they lost in the quarterfinals of the 2010 World Cup, to the Netherlands 2-1.
The Argentina-Brazil rivalry dates back all the way to 1914, with 92 matches played against one another. What is more remarkable is that both sides have the same number of wins, at 34, along with 24 draws. First Game of the New Year at MetLife hosts Cowboys and Giants
This game will be played at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey and the Giants will look to improve their record with the slow start they had in the whole 2011 season. After week 13, the Giants are faced with a break even record of six and six and will look to continue improving their standing in the NFC east to earn their spot in the divisional playoffs and hopefully the NFC championship. Konica Minolta Big City Classic to Host Lacrosse
This event will host three games of some of the most premier and elite lacrosse teams in the country. Notre Dame will see if they can live up to their legacy of being the fighting Irish as they face St. Johns. Next, traditional powerhouse Duke University will face off against New York based Syracuse University in a clash against the blue and orange. Finally, the Tar Heels of North Carolina will visit New Jersey to battle Johns Hopkins University in the final game of the evening. AFC Conference Championships Set to Take Place at MetLife Stadium if Giants Proceed
MetLife Stadium is the former New Meadowlands Stadium where the ownership rights and branding were transferred to MetLife, the provider of insurance premiums and other services. Most notably, this shift in ownership reflects a new agreement with the New York Jets, who used to only lease the Giants Stadium for their home games. But, as of 2010, the stadium is part of a 50/50 ownership split among the two teams. Of course, the New York Metropolitan area will be extremely excited to see the two local teams share their home field advantage. The third and final game of the day at the Big City Classic features a matchup of North Carolina and Johns Hopkins. Last year, Johns Hopkins beat North Carolina in a suspenseful 10 to 9 game. This year, North Carolina will undoubtedly be trying to prove their dominance over Johns Hopkins. Both teams feature immense talent and promise. This will definitely be a game to watch.
